Tristar Worldwide wins prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise

Chauffeur services company honoured for success in international trade

Tristar Worldwide Chauffeur Services has won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in recognition of its outstanding export achievement. The annual awards, made by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister, are the UK’s highest accolade for business success. They acknowledge UK companies and encourage the development of British business overseas. In order to win a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, a company has to show a substantial and sustained growth in overseas revenue over three consecutive years.

Established in 1978, Tristar Worldwide offers a broad range of high quality chauffeur services for international corporations and travel companies, including the airport transfer service for which it is best known along with ground support for major international events, conventions and financial roadshows. The company is one of the UK’s largest chauffeur drive businesses with over 500 vehicles, and is in the top ten worldwide. Its overseas network operates in over 80 countries and it has offices in London, Manchester, Paris, New York, Boston and Hong Kong. Along with a reputation for quality and timeliness, its commitment to excellence is reflected in its unique “one minute pledge” whereby, if a car is late by one minute, the journey is free.

Dean De Beer, CEO of Tristar Worldwide, said: We are extremely proud to have won this prestigious Award, which reflects the dedication and commitment of every one of the Tristar team and our service partners all over the world to ensure we deliver the highest level of service possible to our customers.”

He continued: “This comes at a very exciting time for us following our recent acquisition of M7 Worldwide Transportation in Boston, which effectively doubles our footprint in the USA and gives us a strong platform for further expansion in the US and South America. At the same time we are exploring opportunities in a number of developing markets and continue to offer new services, such as the recent launch of our luxury chauffeur driven mini-coach service in the UK.”

Tristar Worldwide is also gearing up for the Olympics as the company anticipates a strong demand for its high calibre chauffeur services and ground handling logistics during this exciting time.
