NEWS: Tristar to replace UK Volvo fleet

This summer, Tristar Worldwide will begin a nine month project to replace all of the current Volvo estates and saloons in our UK fleet with newer versions boasting impressive sub 160g/km CO2 emissions figures, and an MPG that has improved by over 11.5% on the previous models. Volvo’s new V70 D3 SE Auto estate and S80 D3 SE Auto saloon vehicles offer passengers the same high level of comfort and safety associated with the brand, along with their improved environmental credentials. The project further emphasises our commitment to operating a socially responsible, yet high quality chauffeur service.

In addition to an entirely new fleet of vehicles, Tristar is committed to training our chauffeurs in responsible driving techniques to further lessen our environmental impact. Each of our chauffeurs’ first and last jobs of the shift are selected to be close to home in order to reduce the distance they have to travel without a passenger on board. This saves thousands of unnecessary miles being driven each year. We also continue to monitor any new sustainable fuel and vehicle options that arrive on the market and are placing a key focus on social responsibility within the head office environment.
